Host A Glamorous Movie Night at Home
Lately, we are all about the stay-at-home lifestyle. But that doesn’t mean you need to miss out on celebrating moments with your closest girl friends. A glam movie night is the perfect way to choose joy by getting your crew together for an unforgettable night of films, treats and sips.
Pick your flick
It all starts with the right movie! But, let’s be real, you and you ladies have things to discuss and tea to spill. If you are going to chat through most of the dialogue (which is the best part of movie night), this might not be the time for a new release. Cue up a frothy rom-com, a girl-power pick-me-up or a musical you can all sing along to.
Set the scene
Roll out the red carpet – literally. A red cloth or rug leading up to the entrance will have your neighbors wondering what happened to their invite and lets your guest know they are arriving at the real deal. Once inside, offer plenty of plush pillows and snuggly blankets for lounging on the floor. There’s no reason movie night can’t be both glam and cozy.
Dress it up
No starlet has ever shown up at a movie premier in her yoga pants, so ask friends to come in their award-worthy best. We all have a once-worn formal in the back of our closet! Have a pre-movie fashion show and let every guest strut down the red carpet. Award a bottle of wine to the best dressed and take plenty of pics.
Cook up some gourmet popcorn
Even if you are a lowkey disaster in the kitchen, a batch of wow-worthy Rosemary Chardonnay Popcorn is easy to whip up.
3 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. Cupcake Butterkissed Chardonnay
2 Tbsp. rosemary
1 Tbsp. lemon zest
Grab a small pot and heat the butter until it turns golden brown. You’ll need to keep it moving over the heat so the butter doesn’t burn, so use the opportunity to practice those kitchen dance moves. Stir in Cupcake Butterkissed Chardonnay, rosemary and lemon. Drizzle it over a massive bowl of popcorn and give it a toss.
